Juices

Fruit or vegetable juices are a good option; but may be difficult if you are affected by the acidity of foods. It’s amazing how sharp apple juice is!

Juicers are available from electrical suppliers, John Lewis and Argos or from the web site www.ukjuicers.co.uk

    Nick Nairn's Zingy Juice

For a really quick pit-stop, chop your fruits the night before and pop in the fridge covered in cling film. Your juice will be deliciously cool.

    Serves 1
    Vegetarian logo Vegetarian

      Ingredients

    • 2 Oranges, peeled
    • 2 Apples
    • 3 Carrots, peeled
    • 1" piece of fresh Ginger, peeled

      Instructions

    1. Quater the apples, break up the oranges and chop the carrots into chunks small enough to fit through a juicer.
    2. Push them through along with your ginger and juice away!
    3. Pour into your favourite glass and drink immediately.

This like most juices should be drunk within half an hour of making. The juice will seperate; but this is perfectly natural and in fact, just the way I like it.
