Hazel’s Super Quick Quinoa Porridge
aka Camel Porridge

Serves 2

Vegetarian

Cooking time: 10 minutes.
    Ingredients
  • 300ml Rice milk
  • 100ml water
  • 4 heaped tbsp quinoa flakes (NOT QUINOA GRAIN)
  • Ground cinnamon

    Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients into a small saucepan.

  2. Gently boil then simmer for 5 minutes. Be careful as the porridge spits which is why I’ve nicknamed it “camel porridge”!!

  3. It’s now ready to serve.

This recipe is especially good for those on a very restrictive diet e.g. dairy and/or wheat free. Please note there is also no sugar in this recipe as rice milk is naturally sweet so also good for those on a Candida diet.

If you find quinoa flakes hard to find go to www.goodnessdirect.co.uk you can also buy rice milk here too; but most supermarkets now sell this.

You can refrigerate ½ for tomorrow’s breakfast.

Can be served with mashed banana or a fresh fruit smoothie, delicious.
